Job Summary
Provide physical therapy treatments under licensed physical therapist supervision, including modalities, manual techniques, and exercise protocols. Guide patients through functional activities like bed mobility, transfers, gait, and balance. Observe treatment precautions, monitor patient responses, and report changes to the care team. Deliver daily patient chart documentation for acute and outpatient settings. Educate patients and caregivers on therapy techniques while assessing their learning progress. Maintain a valid driver's license and CPR certification as required for home health duties.
Required Qualifications
- High School Education/GED or equivalent
- Physical Therapy Assistant licensure in all applicable states of practice
- Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification or Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from approved vendor per AH policy
- Valid Driver's License (DL)
- Must be at least 21 years of age or older
- Receive all required vaccinations as a condition of employment and annually thereafter, where applicable
Desired Qualifications
- Associate's/Technical Degree or equivalent combination of education/related experience
- Two years' technical experience
- Experience in therapy in an acute care environment, acute therapy unit and/or out patient setting
