Job Summary
Provide physical therapy treatments under licensed physical therapist supervision, including modalities, manual techniques, and exercise regimens for bed mobility, transfers, gait, and balance. Instruct patients and caregivers on functional activities while observing treatment precautions and reporting patient response changes. Perform daily chart documentation of interventions and offer education tailored to patient learning styles. Maintain a valid driver's license and CPR/BLS certification to support home health services across California, Hawaii, Oregon, and Washington.
Required Qualifications
- High School Education/GED or equivalent
- Physical Therapy Assistant licensure in all applicable states of practice
- Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification or Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from approved vendor per AH policy
- Valid Driver's License (DL)
- Must be at least 21 years of age or older
- Receive all required vaccinations as a condition of employment and annually thereafter, where applicable
Desired Qualifications
- Associate's/Technical Degree or equivalent combination of education/related experience
- Two years' technical experience
- Experience in therapy in an acute care environment, acute therapy unit and/or out patient setting
