Job Summary
Provides physical therapy treatments under the supervision of licensed physical therapists, including modalities, manual techniques and common exercise techniques. Instructs and guides patients through functional activities such as bed mobility, transfers, gait, and balance. Works under minimal supervision and may mentor and train staff on technical skills. Documents treatment interventions and outcomes, and provides education and training to patients and caregivers. Requires licensure as a Physical Therapy Assistant, CPR/BLS certification, and a valid driver’s license; includes employment in in-home/acute care settings across CA, HI, OR, and WA, with adherence to vaccination requirements and E-Verify.
Required Qualifications
- Physical Therapy Assistant licensure in all applicable states of practice
- CPR or BLS certification
- Valid Driver's License (DL) and must be at least 21 years of age or older
- High School Education/GED or equivalent: Required
- Associate's/Technical Degree or equivalent combination of education/related experience: Preferred
