Physical Therapist Assistant (Home Health)

Job Summary
Provides physical therapy treatments under the supervision of licensed physical therapists, including modalities, manual techniques and exercise techniques in home health/hospice settings across California, Hawaii, Oregon and Washington. Instructs and guides patients through bed mobility, transfers, gait and balance activities; documents interventions; may mentor and train staff on technical skills. Requires PTA licensure for applicable states, CPR/BLS certification, and a valid driver’s license; requires high school education with preferred associate degree and prior therapy experience in acute care or outpatient settings.
Required Qualifications
- Physical Therapy Assistant licensure in all applicable states of practice
- CPR/BLS certification
- Valid Driver's License and must be at least 21 years of age
- High School Education/GED or equivalent: Required
- Associate's/Technical Degree or equivalent combination of education/related experience: Preferred
- Two years' technical experience: Preferred
- Experience in therapy in an acute care environment, acute therapy unit and/or out patient setting: Preferred
