Physical Therapist Assistant (Home Health)

Job Summary
Deliver physical therapy treatments under licensed physical therapist supervision, utilizing modalities, manual techniques, and exercise protocols. Guide patients through functional activities including bed mobility, transfers, gait, and balance exercises while observing treatment precautions and reporting patient response changes. Provide daily chart documentation of interventions for both acute and outpatient settings. Educate patients and caregivers on care plans, incorporating their learning preferences and assessing their understanding. Maintain a valid driver's license, hold current PTA licensure in California, and possess CPR or BLS certification. Work in our home health and hospice agencies serving the Oakdale, CA community.
Required Qualifications
- High School Education/GED or equivalent
- Physical Therapy Assistant licensure in all applicable states of practice
- Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification or Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from approved vendor per AH policy
- Valid Driver's License (DL)
- Must be at least 21 years of age or older
- All required vaccinations as a condition of employment and annually thereafter, where applicable
Desired Qualifications
- Associate's/Technical Degree or equivalent combination of education/related experience
- Two years' technical experience
- Experience in therapy in an acute care environment, acute therapy unit and/or out patient setting
