Job Summary
Provide physical therapy treatments under licensed physical therapist supervision, including modalities, manual techniques, and exercise regimens. Guide patients through functional activities such as bed mobility, transfers, gait, and balance. Observe patient responses, report changes to the care team, and document daily interventions in patient charts. Educate patients and caregivers on their care plans while assessing their understanding. Maintain a valid driver's license and hold PTA licensure in the applicable state. Work in home health and hospice settings across California, Hawaii, Oregon, and Washington.
Required Qualifications
- High School Education/GED or equivalent
- Physical Therapy Assistant licensure in all applicable states of practice
- Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification or Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from approved vendor per AH policy
- Valid Driver's License (DL)
- Must be at least 21 years of age or older
- Receive all required vaccinations as a condition of employment and annually thereafter, where applicable
Desired Qualifications
- Associate's/Technical Degree or equivalent combination of education/related experience
- Two years' technical experience
- Experience in therapy in an acute care environment, acute therapy unit and/or out patient setting
