Job Summary
Implement physical therapy treatments for residents based on evaluations and plans developed by licensed Physical Therapists. Exercise sound judgment to provide effective care, observe and record changes in resident conditions, and track treatment needs for reassessment. Maintain daily records of treatments and progress notes as directed, while immediately discontinuing any harmful procedures and notifying the licensed therapist. Report changes in status that may indicate a referral is necessary. Ensure appropriate review of care rendered according to practice regulations. Requires a Maryland license, experience in long-term settings, and active APTA membership.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an approved Physical Therapist Assistant program
- Current license or eligible for license under statutes in the State of Maryland
- Training or experience in long-term or sub-acute setting
- Ability to understand and follow the directions of the Physical Therapist and the policies and procedures of the facility
Desired Qualifications
- Active membership in the state and national American Physical Therapy Association
