Job Summary
Physical Therapist Assistant to join the Frederick Health Hospital rehabilitation team in a full-time, hospital-based role. The PTA will deliver therapy services per treatment plans for patients with orthopedic, neurological, and critical care needs, document progress and maintain timely EMR records, and participate in a collaborative, one-on-one care approach with patients. The ideal candidate values ongoing education, demonstrates strong flexibility, time management, and communication skills, and can provide patient and family education while contributing to a supportive, multidisciplinary environment. The position requires a CAPTE-accredited degree, Maryland licensure or eligibility, and BLS. Schedule is Monday–Friday with one weekend day per month and holiday rotation; benefits are included.
Required Qualifications
- Degree from an accredited program approved by CAPTE
- Current state licensure or eligibility in Physical Therapy in Maryland
- Basic Life Support through the American Heart Association
- Experience with documentation utilizing EMR
- Strong skills in flexibility, time management, leadership, and communication
- Deliver quality physical therapy services according to treatment plans
- Ability to provide patient education and family education
- Focus on patient-centered care and customer service excellence
