Physical Therapist Assistant

The Physical Therapist Assistant is responsible for administering physical therapy modalities of treatment under the supervision of a Physical Therapist. Duties include providing rehabilitative services, monitoring treatment effects, assessing patient pain, conducting evaluations, and documenting patient responses. Candidates should have knowledge of physical therapy modalities, anatomy, and machine operations, as well as the ability to work with diverse patient populations. Required qualifications include an AA degree from an accredited program, current certification as a Physical Therapy Assistant in Washington State, and current BLS certification. The role emphasizes patient safety, effective communication, and participation in departmental quality improvement initiatives.
