Job Summary
Support Physical Therapists by implementing treatment plans and therapeutic exercises, assist patients with prescribed activities, document progress and communicate updates to the supervising therapist, help set up and maintain therapy equipment, ensure a safe and clean therapy environment, and educate patients and families on home exercises and activities while collaborating with healthcare professionals and caregivers in the rehabilitation process.
Required Qualifications
- Possession of a New Jersey Licensure as a Physical Therapist Assistant is required.
- Completion of an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work well within a team.
- Excellent communication and organizational abilities.
- Proficiency in assisting with physical therapy techniques and exercises.
Desired Qualifications
- Experience in a healthcare setting, particularly in a physical therapy environment
- Familiarity with electronic medical records systems
- Additional certifications or specialized training related to physical therapy
