Job Summary
Implement treatment plans for patients under physical therapist supervision while monitoring progress and documenting condition changes. Educate patients and families on exercises and care strategies to promote recovery, utilizing anatomy and physiology knowledge to deliver effective care. Collaborate within a team-oriented environment at Truman Senior Living in a rural setting, assisting with long-term care services. Required Qualifications
- Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant
- graduate from an Accredited Physical Therapy Assistant Program
- Associate's degree
- current CO Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) License
- strong knowledge regarding state, federal, and local regulations as they pertain to long-term care
- capable of performing the essential functions of the job, with or without reasonable accommodations
- ability to communicate in English, both verbally and in writing
- sufficient communication skills to perform the tasks required
- patient care skills
- knowledge of physiology and anatomy
- proficiency in medical terminology
- proficiency in physical therapy techniques
- ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment
