Job Summary
Evaluate assigned patients by gathering data from records, interviews, and observations. Develop and implement individualized treatment programs while instructing patients and caregivers on home exercises. Provide direct therapy services across various functional settings, modifying strategies based on ongoing evaluations and coordination with medical and nursing care plans. Prepare required documentation including evaluation results, treatment plans, and progress notes. Communicate effectively with patients, families, physicians, and interdisciplinary team members regarding status and needs. Oversee physical therapy assistants, techs, and students to ensure safe patient care and smooth departmental operations. Work primarily days with rotating weekends and holidays, earning $39.50–$59.25 hourly.
Required Qualifications
- Active license in the state of practice upon hire
- Physical Therapist - Licensing Board
- Ability to work the hours specified
- Visual acuity adequate to perform position duties
- Ability to hear, understand and distinguish speech and other sounds
- Ability to communicate effectively with others
