Job Summary
Examine and evaluate patients across all age groups to develop effective treatment plans, measure progress, and modify protocols for optimal outcomes. Assess and implement treatment programs for simple and complex therapy diagnoses while educating patients on necessary precautions and remedial measures. Maintain thorough knowledge of physical therapy theory, procedures, and equipment, utilizing strong communication skills and problem-solving abilities. Hold a current Florida Physical Therapy license and BLS certification from the American Heart Association. Bachelor's degree required; Master's or Doctorate preferred with less than one year of clinical experience in acute or outpatient settings.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree
- Knowledge of Physical Therapy theory, procedures, practices and equipment
- Good communication skills
- Proactive, positive approach to problem solving
- Thorough knowledge of possible hazards/necessary precautions/remedial measures in the treatment and care of patients
- Ability to assess and implement a treatment programs for simple and complex therapy diagnoses
- Computer skills in Microsoft Office suite
- Current Florida Physical Therapy license
- Less than one year clinical experience in area of job opening (e.g. Acute, outpatient, etc.)
Desired Qualifications
- Master's or Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy
- Experience in hospital-based rehabilitation services
