Job Summary
Examine and evaluate patients across all age groups to develop effective treatment plans, then measure progress and modify those plans to produce optimal outcomes. Educate patients on their care and assess complex therapy diagnoses to implement appropriate treatment programs while adhering to safety precautions and remedial measures. Maintain current Florida Physical Therapy licensure and American Heart Association BLS certification, utilizing knowledge of Physical Therapy theory, procedures, and equipment alongside strong communication skills. Requires a Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy with less than one year of clinical experience; Master's or Doctorate preferred.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree
- Knowledge of Physical Therapy theory, procedures, practices and equipment
- Good communication skills
- Proactive, positive approach to problem solving
- Thorough knowledge of possible hazards/necessary precautions/remedial measures in the treatment and care of patients
- Ability to assess and implement a treatment programs for simple and complex therapy diagnoses
- Computer skills in Microsoft Office suite
- Current Florida Physical Therapy license
- BLS from the American Heart Association
Desired Qualifications
- Master's or Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy
- Experience in hospital-based rehabilitation services
- Less than one year clinical experience in area of job opening (e.g. Acute, outpatient, etc.)
