Physical Therapist - Acute Care - Rust Medical Center

Physical Therapist in the Acute Care rehabilitation department provides hands-on care, patient education, and prescribed movement to improve function across patients of all ages. Works with physical therapy assistants in a collaborative team to treat diverse patients, with mentorship and orientation for new team members. The role emphasizes adherence to rehab program goals, discharge planning, multidisciplinary coordination, and promoting patient self-determination and independence through a broad range of therapeutic interventions and evidence-based practices. Eligible for tuition/certification reimbursement, loan forgiveness, and practice supports (e.g., EPIC charting, safety resources). Doctor of Physical Therapy is preferred; a bachelor’s degree is required and NM licensure is mandatory; BLS is required at time of hire.
