Job Summary
Examine and evaluate patients to develop effective treatment plans, measuring progress and modifying protocols to produce optimal outcomes. Educate patients on their care and implement treatment programs for simple and complex therapy diagnoses while adhering to necessary precautions and remedial measures. Maintain current Florida Physical Therapy licensure and BLS certification, utilizing knowledge of Physical Therapy theory, procedures, and equipment across all age groups. Requires a Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy with less than one year of clinical experience, though a Master's or Doctorate degree is preferred. This role supports UF Health Durbin Park, a 99-bed hospital opening in September.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree
- Knowledge of Physical Therapy theory, procedures, practices and equipment
- Good communication skills
- Proactive, positive approach to problem solving
- Thorough knowledge of possible hazards/necessary precautions/remedial measures in the treatment and care of patients
- Ability to assess and implement a treatment programs for simple and complex therapy diagnoses
- Computer skills in Microsoft Office suite
- Current Florida Physical Therapy license
- BLS from the American Heart Association
- Less than one year clinical experience in area of job opening (e.g. Acute, outpatient, etc.)
Desired Qualifications
- Master's or Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy
- Experience in hospital-based rehabilitation services
