Physical Therapist Acute Care PRN

Job Summary
Examine and evaluate patients across all age groups, developing effective treatment plans and measuring progress to modify care and educate patients for optimal outcomes. Assess and implement treatment programs for simple and complex diagnoses while adhering to necessary precautions and remedial measures for patient safety. Communicate proactively to solve problems and utilize Microsoft Office skills for documentation. Requires a current Florida Physical Therapy license, Bachelor's degree (Master's or Doctorate preferred), and BLS certification. Less than one year of clinical experience in acute, outpatient, or rehabilitation settings is required. Join UF Health Durbin Park, a 99-bed hospital opening in September.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree
- Knowledge of Physical Therapy theory, procedures, practices and equipment
- Good communication skills
- Proactive, positive approach to problem solving
- Thorough knowledge of possible hazards/necessary precautions/remedial measures in the treatment and care of patients
- Ability to assess and implement a treatment programs for simple and complex therapy diagnoses
- Computer skills in Microsoft Office suite
- Current Florida Physical Therapy license
- BLS from the American Heart Association
Desired Qualifications
- Master's or Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy
- Experience in hospital-based rehabilitation services
