Job Summary
Conduct initial assessments, re-evaluations, and treatment planning for referred patients while implementing individualized therapy plans and administering assistive devices. Deliver patient education to families, maintain accurate clinical documentation including billing submissions, and ensure timely equipment maintenance. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams in conferences and meetings to solve patient care problems and identify process improvements. Serve as a resource and preceptor for new employees and students, while participating in quality improvement initiatives and staff development activities. Adhere to a strict schedule and meet established productivity targets within the department.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited school of Physical Therapy
- Maintains necessary continuing education for licensure
- 1-2 years Clinical experience in a rehabilitation or acute care setting
- DC (District of Columbia) licensure of eligibility
- BLS (Basic Life Support)
