Job Summary
Conduct initial assessments, re-assessments, treatment planning, and implementation for referred patients while documenting all interventions, discharge plans, and billing information accurately. Administer individual treatments, determine equipment needs, and instruct patients and families on adaptive devices. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams in conferences and meetings to solve problems impacting patient care, while identifying opportunities for process and supply improvements. Participate in staff development by serving as a preceptor for new employees and students, and pursue continuing education to maintain professional competency. Adhere to established schedules and productivity targets while maintaining therapy areas and equipment.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited school of Physical Therapy
- Maintains necessary continuing education for licensure
- 1-2 years Clinical experience in a rehabilitation or acute care setting
- DC (District of Columbia) licensure of eligibility
- BLS (Basic Life Support)
