Job Summary
Examine and evaluate patients, developing effective treatment plans and measuring progress to produce optimal outcomes. Modify treatment plans as needed and educate patients while assessing and implementing therapy programs for simple and complex diagnoses. Utilize knowledge of physical therapy theory, procedures, and equipment to address hazards and necessary precautions during care. Deliver services to all age groups in a new 99-bed hospital opening in September, requiring a current Florida Physical Therapy license and Bachelor's degree.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree
- Knowledge of Physical Therapy theory, procedures, practices and equipment
- Good communication skills
- Proactive, positive approach to problem solving
- Thorough knowledge of possible hazards/necessary precautions/remedial measures in the treatment and care of patients
- Ability to assess and implement a treatment programs for simple and complex therapy diagnoses
- Computer skills in Microsoft Office suite
- Current Florida Physical Therapy license
- BLS from the American Heart Association
- Less than one year clinical experience in area of job opening (e.g. Acute, outpatient, etc.)
Desired Qualifications
- Master's or Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy
- Experience in hospital-based rehabilitation services
