Job Summary
Examine and evaluate patients, develop effective treatment plans, measure progress, and modify therapy to produce optimal outcomes. Educate patients on their care while assessing and implementing treatment programs for simple and complex diagnoses. Utilize knowledge of physical therapy theory, procedures, and equipment to address hazards and necessary precautions during patient care. Maintain current Florida Physical Therapy licensure and BLS certification. This 99-bed hospital opening in September serves all age groups and requires a Bachelor's degree with a Master's or Doctorate preferred.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree
- Knowledge of Physical Therapy theory, procedures, practices and equipment
- Good communication skills
- Proactive, positive approach to problem solving
- Thorough knowledge of possible hazards/necessary precautions/remedial measures in the treatment and care of patients
- Ability to assess and implement a treatment programs for simple and complex therapy diagnoses
- Computer skills in Microsoft Office suite
- Current Florida Physical Therapy license
- BLS from the American Heart Association
Desired Qualifications
- Master's or Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy
- Experience in hospital-based rehabilitation services
