Job Summary
Evaluate patients by gathering data from physicians, interdisciplinary teams, families, and clinical sources. Develop and modify treatment plans with specific goals to improve patient throughput, facilitate discharge planning, and reduce length of stay. Demonstrate competency in equipment use and maintenance while adhering to State Practice Act and department policies. Provide patient and family education, ensure complete documentation and accurate billing, and communicate when optimal benefits are achieved. Maintain regular attendance consistent with Orlando Health policies and the ADA.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or higher from an approved program in physical therapy
- Current Physical Therapist license in the State of Florida
- Temporary permit acceptable
- Current BLS/HealthCare Provider certification
- Maintains reasonably regular, punctual attendance consistent with Orlando Health policies, the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards
- Maintains compliance with all Orlando Health policies and procedures
- Working alternating weekends required
- Working one major and one minor holiday required yearly
