Physical Therapist - Acute Care

Organize and conduct medically prescribed physical therapy programs for patients recovering from surgery, illness, or injury. Examine, evaluate, diagnose, determine prognosis, and provide intervention while reporting findings to the healthcare team. Plan therapy involving physical exercise, massage, heat, and water; provide discharge recommendations, exercise programs, and family teaching. Offer documentation, billing, record keeping, and participate in compliance audits. Coordinate patient scheduling and meetings; delegate tasks to support personnel. Participate in in-service education, student programs, and professional committees. Determine and implement an annual professional development plan.
