Job Summary

Conduct physical therapy assessments and evaluations for preschool and school-age children, delivering a minimum of 45 weekly sessions while providing mandated services in compliance with IEP documents. Collaborate with education staff, parents, and the multidisciplinary team to monitor progress and develop treatment plans, utilizing accurate assessment skills to communicate results in written and verbal formats. Maintain precise record-keeping and IEP goal tracking for quality assurance, serve as a clinical instructor for PT students, and contribute to school-wide professional development plans. Adhere to all safety, infection control, and regulatory policies while performing other assigned operational tasks.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelors Degree
  • Masters Degree or Doctorate degree
  • NYS PT License
  • NYS PT Certification
  • Minimum of One (1) year Pediatric PT experience
  • Strong communication skills (verbal and written)
  • good problem-solving skills
  • strong organizational skills
  • ability to relate to families and work collaboratively with other agency representatives
  • Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language fluently
  • Must meet or exceed all health standards and requirements for the position as established by NYDOH and all other regulatory agencies
  • Must meet the general health requirements set fourth by the policies of Elizabeth Seton Children's which includes a medical and physical examination
  • Must be able to push, pull, move, and/or lift a minimum of thirty-five (35) pounds
  • Must be able to assist in the evacuation of children if necessary
  • Must hold valid driver's license

Desired Qualifications

  • New Graduates with Pediatric experience considered
