Job Summary
Provide physical therapy services to preschool and school-age children for a minimum of 45 weekly sessions, including assessments, evaluations, and mandated services aligned with IEP documents. Conduct functional evaluations using evidence-based practices, maintain accurate record-keeping and goal tracking, and collaborate with parents, educators, and multidisciplinary teams to monitor progress. Serve as a clinical instructor for PT students, participate in professional development planning, and ensure compliance with all safety, infection control, and regulatory policies. Minimum of one year pediatric PT experience required; NYS PT license and certification mandatory.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelors Degree
- Masters Degree or Doctorate degree
- NYS PT License
- NYS PT Certification
- Minimum of One (1) year Pediatric PT experience
- Strong communication skills (verbal and written)
- good problem-solving skills
- strong organizational skills
- ability to relate to families and work collaboratively with other agency representatives
- Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language fluently
- Must meet or exceed all health standards and requirements for the position as established by NYDOH and all other regulatory agencies
- Must meet the general health requirements set fourth by the policies of Elizabeth Seton Children's which includes a medical and physical examination
- Must be able to push, pull, move, and/or lift a minimum of thirty-five (35) pounds
- Must be able to assist in the evacuation of children if necessary
- Must hold valid driver's license
