Job Summary
Physical Therapist needed to collaborate with LEA/AEA staff and caregivers to provide functional mobility, posture, and positioning assessments for students 0-21 within educational environments. Responsibilities include screening and delivering therapy interventions in schools, completing IEP/IFSP service minutes with timely documentation and billing, supervising clinical interns and assistants, participating in team decision making, and engaging in professional development and public awareness activities to promote outcomes of physical therapy services in education. Strong emphasis on adapting equipment, advocating for children, and maintaining confidentiality while integrating technology and coordinating with multiple agencies to support students’ educational goals.
Required Qualifications
- S., M.S., or DPT from an approved Physical Therapy Education Program
- Physical Therapy license issued by Iowa Department of Public Health
- Iowa Board of Educational Examiners Statement of Professional Recognition
