Job Summary
Perform objective assessments and comprehensive individualized treatment programs for adult and geriatric patients under general supervision. Provide direct supervision to patients and oversee rehabilitation technicians and PT assistants in accordance with State Practice Acts. Deliver care consistent with Mercy Service Standards, including competency in modalities and ability to lift, pull, and grip required weights. Requires current Physical Therapy license, Bachelor's or Doctorate degree, and AHA Healthcare Provider certification. Full-time day shift Monday through Thursday with no holidays or weekends. $20,000 sign-on bonus available.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor, Master of Science in Physical Therapy or Doctor of Physical Therapy
- Current/Temporary license of Physical Therapy in state of practice
- Must have a current American Heart Association Healthcare Provider card or complete a course within their probation period
- Must have general knowledge of evaluation and treatment principles for a diverse number and types of diagnoses
- Must demonstrate competency in equipment used for the delivery of modalities
- Must be able to push 40 lbs.
- Must be able to pull 60 lbs.
- Must be able to grip 50 lbs.
- Must be able to pinch 15 lbs.
Desired Qualifications
- Six months to one year experience
- Prefer experience with care for adult and geriatric patients
