Job Summary
Evaluate new patients, establish goals, and develop appropriate treatment plans for individuals with impairments, functional disabilities, or changes in physical function. Document all evaluations, treatments, and patient interactions daily while educating patients and families regarding medical conditions and home activity instructions. Collaborate with physicians, occupational therapists, and psychologists to obtain necessary information and suggest revisions in treatment plans. Utilize rehabilitation equipment and durable medical devices safely, maintain accurate electronic medical records adhering to HIPAA regulations, and participate in quality and safety improvement activities. Adjust personal schedule as needed for crisis or clinic demands while orienting and directing support personnel.
Required Qualifications
- Master's degree in relevant field
- Licensure in FL as a Physical Therapist
- Skill in completing assignments accurately and with attention to detail
- Ability to analyze, organize and prioritize work under pressure while meeting deadlines
- Ability to process and handle confidential information with discretion
- Ability to work evenings, nights, and weekends as necessary
- Ability to work independently and/or in a collaborative environment
Desired Qualifications
- Doctoral Degree in Physical Therapy preferred
