Job Summary
Monitor security systems including video management, access control, and alarm platforms to detect, assess, and validate alerts across Vantage's North American data center portfolio. Initiate escalation procedures based on Security Operating Procedures, conduct camera reviews to verify incidents, and document all events in the incident management system. Provide real-time communication with Shift Leads and on-site teams during active events, perform start-of-shift system checks, and report malfunctions or false alarms. Maintain situational awareness while adhering to standard operating procedures and participating in training drills. This 24/7 role requires 2-4 years of experience in security operations and technical proficiency with physical security platforms.
Required Qualifications
- 2-4 years of experience in a 24/7 security operations or monitoring center environment
- Experience with integrated security technologies (VMS, access control, alarm monitoring, and incident management systems)
- Strong situational awareness and ability to assess information quickly and accurately
- Technical proficiency with physical security platforms and computer-based monitoring tools
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with attention to detail and documentation accuracy
- Ability to remain calm and focused under pressure in fast-paced or critical situations
- Team oriented mindset with a commitment to operational consistency and accountability
- Familiarity with incident management frameworks or software
- Must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds
Desired Qualifications
- Prior experience in a team lead, shift supervisor or senior operator role preferred
