Job Summary
Maintain operation and maintenance of all Physical Plant equipment, including boilers, chillers, commercial air handling equipment, pumps, air compressors, pneumatic controls, DDC controls, refrigeration equipment, and building energy management systems. Hold a current 4th class National Power Engineers license or equivalent Georgia Power Engineers license, plus an EPA Universal Refrigeration Certificate. Schedule Sunday through Thursday. Minimum two years of hands-on experience in a related field required. Valid Georgia driver's license and adherence to Piedmont's Healthcare Vehicle Safety Program policy 3500 criteria preferred.
Required Qualifications
- High school graduate or equivalent
- Two (2) years of experience in a related field
- hands-on practical knowledge of boilers
- hands-on practical knowledge of chillers
- hands-on practical knowledge of commercial air handling equipment
- hands-on practical knowledge of pumps
- hands-on practical knowledge of air compressors
- hands-on practical knowledge of pneumatic controls
- hands-on practical knowledge of DDC controls
- hands-on practical knowledge of refrigeration equipment
- hands-on practical knowledge of building energy management systems
- current 4th class National Power Engineers license per the National Institute for the Uniform Licensing of Power Engineers (NIULPE)
- current 4th class Georgia Power Engineers license per the Georgia State Association of Power Engineers
- 1st, 2nd, or 3rd class GA Power Engineers License in lieu of 4th class
- EPA Universal Refrigeration Certificate
- Valid Georgia driver's license
- adherence to Piedmont's Healthcare Vehicle Safety Program policy 3500 criteria
Additional Requirements
