Job Summary
Review and analyze veterans' medical records through a secure web portal to document current health conditions. Conduct comprehensive, non-treating assessments and complete VA-provided Disability Benefits Questionnaires (DBQs) using secure online templates. Ensure all submissions are thorough, accurate, and delivered within 24 hours of the assessment. Assess up to four veterans daily while traveling throughout South Carolina 1-2 times per month. This role supports the VA's disability benefits process by delivering objective medical assessments for veterans.
Required Qualifications
- Active MD or DO license with a specialization in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (PM&R)
- Strong typing skills and attention to detail are essential
Desired Qualifications
- Board certification in Neurological Surgery, PM&R, or Psychiatry and Neurology is preferred
- candidates with a completed two-year residency in a relevant specialty will also be considered
