Job Summary
PM&R Physician sought to perform non-treating independent medical assessments for U.S. Veterans. Responsibilities include reviewing medical records, conducting comprehensive evaluations, and completing VA DBQs through a secure online portal. Expect to assess up to four veterans daily with DBQs submitted within 24 hours of each assessment. Travel throughout South Carolina 1-2 times per month (Charleston, Columbia, Greenville). Ideal candidates are skilled at data synthesis from medical records, timely digital documentation, and delivering objective assessments to support veterans’ disability determinations. Requires active MD or DO licensed in PM&R; board certification in Neurological Surgery, PM&R, or Psychiatry and Neurology is preferred, with consideration for candidates having a completed two-year residency in a relevant specialty. Compensation: $1100+ per day; flexible scheduling.
