Physical & Functional Configuration Auditor (PCA/FCA)

Job Summary
Execute day-to-day activities in accordance with the Configuration Management & Audit Plan under the direction of the Configuration and Data Manager. Independently apply Configuration Management techniques on Navy Maritime Assets to make decisions on configuration changes and represent the team in Configuration Control Boards. Liaise with Engineering Teams, Ship Leads, and Waterfront Engineers to ensure compliance with the plan and support the planning of Physical and Functional Configuration Audits. Manage responses to external audits, corrective actions, and continuous improvement initiatives while safeguarding organizational health and safety. This permanent full-time role is based in Garden Island, Sydney, with a requirement for a Baseline Defence Security Clearance and at least five years of engineering experience in the Defence industry.
Required Qualifications
- At least 5 years' experience in an engineering role
- Experience in CMT-U, AMPS & Stock Control and Planned Maintenance (SCPM)
- Must be eligible for ITAR clearance of relevant ship systems
- All candidates will be required to hold and maintain an active Baseline Defence Security Clearance
- Must be eligible for an AGSVA security clearance
- Compliance to International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR)
Desired Qualifications
- Diploma, or equivalent, qualification in a recognised Engineering related discipline
- Experience in the Department of Defence
