Job Summary
Great Oaks Legacy Charter School is hiring a Physical Education Teacher for the 2026-2027 school year, responsible for preparing students for college success through rigorous instruction and high expectations. Teachers will demonstrate solid content knowledge, utilize diverse instructional strategies, track student data to set goals, build relationships with students, and enforce school rules. Candidates should possess a Bachelor’s degree, evidence of education certification, strong classroom management skills, and a commitment to student success.
Required Qualifications
- Relentless work ethic
- Belief that all students have what it takes to be successful
- Bachelor's degree from a competitive college or university
- GPA must meet minimum requirements for NJ DOE certification
- Demonstrated mastery of content knowledge and ability to drive student growth
- Extremely strong classroom management abilities
- Evidence of NJ Department of Education certification (CE/CEAS/Provisional/Standard) or out of state certification
Desired Qualifications
- Prior teaching experience in an urban No Excuses school setting strongly preferred
- Experience developing curriculum or potential to lead curricular development is strongly preferred
