Job Summary
Physical Education Teacher for PreK3-6th grade; plans and implements instructional program and coordinates athletic activities in alignment with diocesan curriculum. Responsible for planning all physical activities, coordinating extra-curricular sports, acquiring materials and equipment, and modeling Gospel values as part of Catholic ministry within the Diocese of Corpus Christi. Reports to the Principal; duties include participating in religious ceremonies and training sessions, maintaining positive attitudes toward competition, and submitting to required screenings. Must maintain confidentiality and possess technology skills; prior coaching experience is preferred but not required, and applicants must meet minimum qualifications including a Texas driver’s license and age 21+.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid Texas driver's license
- Must be at least 21 years of age
- Must support the goals of Catholic tradition in education
- Must have effective skills in technology
- Must submit to employment required screenings including a criminal history background check, motor vehicle record check, and drug screening
- Certification in Safe Environment training provided by the Office of Safe Environment and Child & Family Resources
- Position requires adherence to Diocesan policies and procedures
