Job Summary
PE Teacher for grades 4-8 responsible for delivering physical education instruction, developing and implementing PE lesson and unit plans, assessing student progress, and providing feedback. The role involves maintaining a functional learning environment, coordinating with grade-level peers, and participating in professional development and data analysis meetings. Ideal candidate will use data to inform instruction, employ innovative teaching methods, manage classrooms effectively, and leverage technology to differentiate instruction; collaboration with teachers and staff to support SLA students, including those in high-poverty communities and/or with special needs.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university.
- Appropriate Instructional I or Instructional II Pennsylvania Teaching Certificate, Temporary Teaching Certificate or valid out of state license for the given subject area for which you are teaching.
- Required criminal history background check, physical and proof of U.S. citizenship or legal resident alien status.
