Job Summary
Physical Education, Health, and Driver's Education Teacher responsible for designing and delivering engaging lessons across PE, Health, and summer-school Driver's Education. Responsibilities include leading fitness activities, teaching sports and lifelong wellness, facilitating discussions on nutrition and mental health, delivering classroom and behind-the-wheel instruction per state requirements, and maintaining accurate records of grades and attendance. Collaboration with counselors and administrators to support student success, plus participation in professional development and school-wide wellness initiatives. Requires a Bachelor's degree in a related field, a valid teaching license with PE/Health endorsements, and Driver's Education certification (or eligibility). Demonstrates strong classroom management, effective communication, and ability to motivate students of diverse abilities; comfortable with active, hands-on teaching in classrooms, gyms, and outdoor spaces, including summer in-car instruction for Driver's Education.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Physical Education, Health, Kinesiology, or related field (preferred)
- Valid teaching license with PE and/or Health endorsements
- Driver's Education certification (or eligibility) per state requirements
- Experience teaching PE, Health, or working with youth (preferred)
- Passion for student wellness and development
- Strong classroom management and organizational skills
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
