Job Summary
Physical Education and/or Dance Education Teacher responsible for the instruction of the specified content area in a classroom setting within grade levels K-12. Designs and implements instruction aligned to state standards and district curriculum; creates a positive learning climate; delivers relevant and rigorous lessons to maximize student engagement and achievement; utilizes diverse teaching practices to meet individual student needs; assesses and tracks student performance, maintains grades and attendance, and manages classroom behavior. Communicates with parents and school/district personnel, ensures health and safety, maintains confidential records, and keeps current certifications and professional development hours. Performs other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- Florida Professional Educator Certificate in Physical Education or Dance Education is preferred
- Eligibility for Florida Temporary Certificate in the content area is required
