Job Summary
Assist Elementary Physical Education teachers in setting up, monitoring, and implementing PE classes for students. Provide instruction related to team and individual sports and fitness, while administering basic first aid to injured students. Monitor students' progress and behavior, reporting findings to teachers, and offer basic clerical support and activity recording. This role supports the district's K-8 PE program at Potter Jr. High, with training in CPR and First Aid provided.
Required Qualifications
- Equivalent to the completion of the twelfth grade
- Ability to qualify for District vehicle insurance
- First Aid certificate, including CPR training, issued by the American Red Cross
- Satisfactory completion of a pre-employment physical
- Passage of a drug/alcohol screening test
- Fingerprint clearance with the Department of Justice and FBI
- Current verification of a negative T.B. test or chest x-ray
- Completion of a fully completed online application
