Physical Education and Technology Teacher (Moore/Findley)

Physical Education and Digital Learning Teacher for Des Moines Public Schools, teaching .5 time at Moore Elementary and .5 time at Findley Elementary, plus one day per week of Digital Learning at Findley. Responsibilities include delivering direct instruction in physical education and digital literacy, co-planning and co-teaching with classroom teachers to integrate technology for personalized and blended learning, coordinating with the Library & Digital Learning Associate and DMPS technology department, promoting responsible digital citizenship, and coaching on technology integration aligned with DMPS standards and the district’s digital literacy curriculum. Requires an Iowa Physical Education endorsement and supports collaboration to advance digital literacy across the district. All candidates must pass background checks and related screenings.
