Physical Education and Middle School Computer Science Teacher

Physical Education & Middle School Computer Science Teacher role requires holding a valid Indiana PE/Health License and additional training for Computer Science. Responsibilities include participating in curriculum review and design, collaborating with department and grade-level teachers, implementing district/building initiatives, maintaining current instructional practices, creating an active, safe learning environment that values diversity and academic risk-taking, maintaining high expectations for student learning and behavior, employing a variety of instructional strategies aligned with standards-based instruction, communicating clearly, providing effective classroom management, delivering individual and small-group instruction tailored to student needs, planning programs to meet student needs, regularly assessing student progress and providing timely progress reports, monitoring progress and adjusting instruction, referring students for ESL/Reading/Special Reading as needed, maintaining accurate records, communicating with parents/guardians, safeguarding students and materials, complying with policies, serving on committees, supporting 1:1 Chromebook environment, using Google Suite including Google Classroom, attending required meetings, and performing other duties as assigned.
