Physical Design - CAD Lead

CAD Lead for Physical Design (PD) flows and infrastructure to build and own end-to-end PD processes from scratch in a new hardware group. Drive development of PD flows for state-of-the-art FinFET/multi-patterning technologies, create flow infrastructure to enable rapid design across multiple product lines, collaborate with PD leads on end-to-end build and signoff flows, and develop regression frameworks and utilities to ensure high design quality. Responsibilities include building a unified environment for specifying collaterals (stdcell, memory, PDK, hardips) and flow dependencies, coordinating with 3rd party resources, and improving flow consistency and efficiency across multiple product lines. Required qualifications emphasize advanced electrical engineering degrees with substantial industry experience, strong Python and scripting abilities, experience with workflow orchestration tools (Airflow, flowtracer), Kubernetes/containerization, regression framework development, SQL/MongoDB proficiency, and deep knowledge of hardware design workflows for PD and RTL/DV. Desired qualifications cover full-chip RTL/DV and PD flows, analog/mixed-signal IP verification, design constraint definitions for STA, and experience integrating CAD flows for PD engineers. Compensation ranges from $180k–$220k with equity and benefits, including 401K match, paid parental leave, and flexible arrangements.
