Job Summary
Provide comprehensive inpatient rehabilitation care for an average daily census of 29–31 patients, maintaining on-site clinical coverage of 36–40 hours weekly. Collaborate with hospitalists and multidisciplinary teams including physical therapists, occupational therapists, and speech language pathologists to manage neurological conditions such as stroke and amputation cases. Support the Advanced Practice Provider team with on-call coverage for nights and weekends, serving as backup when not on-site. Lead and grow a well-established rehab program within Novant Health's Neurosciences Institute, transitioning into a new state-of-the-art facility opening in 2028.
Required Qualifications
- Board-Certified/Board-Eligible in Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation
- Experience in inpatient rehabilitation medicine
- Graduate of an accredited school of medicine
- Completion of an accredited residency program
- For specialty physicians - completion of an accredited fellowship program specific to medical specialty
- Current MD license in appropriate state
- Board certification or eligibility
- Current DEA license
- Must be available for on-call support (nights/weekends) for APP team
- Must be able to maintain on-site clinical coverage (36–40 hours/week)
