Physiatrist Physician (Physician )

Provides direct and indirect patient care to assist in rehabilitation and restoration of normal body function after illness and/or injury. Implements treatment programs according to the plan of care, administers modalities, trains patients in transfer and gait techniques, and supervises PT Assistants and PT Aides. Focuses on continuity of care through documentation and verbal communication, uses Electronic Health Records, and participates in community education. Demonstrates flexibility to work in multiple venues and adjust schedules to meet department missions. Maintains professional demeanor and appearance, and maintains patient confidentiality.
