Job Summary
Administer treatment programs for physical therapy patients under licensed physical therapist supervision, including specialized care and age-specific needs. Monitor patient progress, modify treatment plans, and document all activities in medical records while providing input for discharge planning. Involve patients and families in goal setting and coordinate with other health professionals regarding care needs. Meet established targets for passive/active treatment ratios, quality outcomes, patient satisfaction, and productivity measures. Serve as a resource for support staff, assist in training and supervision of support personnel, and assume responsibility for the educational development of assigned PTA students.
Required Qualifications
- Current Tennessee Physical Therapist Assistant license
- Good communication skills
Desired Qualifications
- One (1) year experience preferred
- Professional organization membership preferred
