Job Summary
PHS World Language Teacher (Grades 9-12) develops and delivers world language instruction in Italian, French and/or Spanish, aligns curricula to ACTFL standards, creates lesson plans and instructional materials, conducts ongoing assessments, differentiates instruction, maintains accurate records, and communicates with students and parents. Requires knowledge of current teaching methods, data systems, and ability to engage in professional growth; requires state certification in at least one world language and a bachelor's degree in education; Masters preferred. Travel to district buildings and professional meetings as required; FLSA Exempt; pay rate follows negotiated teacher agreement.
Required Qualifications
- State Certification as a world language teacher in at least one of the languages taught
- Bachelor's degree in education discipline applicable to teaching assignment
- Masters Degree in related area preferred
