Job Summary
Provide formal silver service at all family meals, manage guest hospitality during entertaining, and maintain spotless front-of-house and living areas. Supervise household staff including housekeepers, the chef, and the laundress while liaising with contractors and managing stock inventories. Oversee service standards during international travel and coordinate the household relocation in March. Maintain strict discretion and professional boundaries throughout the role. This permanent full-time position involves 9 hours per day, five days a week (days off Tuesdays and Sundays), with a salary negotiable. The household is based in Regent's Park with planned relocation to St John's Wood, London.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years of private housekeeping experience
- Two excellent, checkable references
- Conversational level of English
- Legal right to work in the UK
- Strong silver service knowledge
- Confidence working within a fully staffed household
- A thorough understanding of formal household etiquette
- Excellent attention to detail
- The ability to work independently while collaborating within a professional team
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs
- Must be available for weekend shifts
