Job Summary
PHP/WordPress Developer responsible for the architecture, development, and stability of the enterprise-scale WordPress VIP ecosystem. The role emphasizes high-quality code, automated testing, and continuous delivery, with mentoring of engineers and serving as a technical anchor. Key duties include designing high-performance WordPress themes/plugins for WPVIP, writing clean PHP (8.x) using OOP and SOLID, implementing BDD/ATDD/TDD, owning and optimizing CI/CD pipelines with VIP-CLI and GitHub Actions, and fostering Agile collaboration through pair programming and proactive technical debt management. The ideal candidate has 7+ years of PHP experience, strong testing expertise, CI/CD proficiency, full-stack capabilities (React/Gutenberg, ES6+, REST/GraphQL), and familiarity with performance and security tooling.
Required Qualifications
- 7+ years of professional PHP experience
- deep expertise in the WordPress VIP ecosystem
- Experience with PHPUnit, Playwright, Behat, or Cypress
- CI/CD proficiency
- Full-Stack skills with React (Gutenberg), ES6+, REST/GraphQL
- Performance & Security tooling experience (PHPCS, New Relic, Query Monitor, WPScan, K6/WebPageTest)
- Experience with testing frameworks and TDD/BDD workflows
- Strong engineering excellence and technical stewardship
