Job Summary
Program and configure Photoneo vision systems (PhoXi 3D Scanner, Bin Picking Studio) to develop 3D routines for bin picking, part localization, and measurement. Integrate these systems with PLCs and robots, perform onsite commissioning and debugging, and adjust scanner positioning and lighting for optimal performance. Troubleshoot production downtime and modify existing programs to improve reliability and cycle time. Document configurations and support engineering teams during installation and launch phases. This role supports advanced automated manufacturing systems in Livonia, MI, focusing on automotive and advanced manufacturing programs.
Required Qualifications
- Experience programming 3D/machine vision systems
- Experience with Industrial 3D scanner/camera setup & calibration
- Robot-to-vision integration
- Understanding of PLC communication (EtherNet/IP, Profinet, etc.)
- Robot-guided bin picking or part localization concepts
- Ability to read electrical schematics and layout drawings
- Strong troubleshooting skills in live production environments
- Experience in automotive or automated manufacturing
Desired Qualifications
- Photoneo experience
- Similar platform experience such as Keyence or Cognex
- Background in robotic assembly or bin-picking lines
- Experience with FANUC iRVision
- Controls experience (PLC troubleshooting or minor edits)
- Launch support experience
