Job Summary
Create and maintain accurate training records in accordance with MSHA regulations while developing, administering, and continuously improving training programs based on operational and site needs. Lead the transition to Competency Based Training by developing teaching outlines, selecting evaluation procedures, and managing the 30, 60, 90 competency review process. Audit training materials, partner with Process Management to review Standard Operating Procedures, and assist in implementing the Learning Management System. Plan and schedule Annual Refresher Training, coordinate site hazard training, and evaluate all training facilitators.
Required Qualifications
- Five (5) years of training or mentoring experience in heavy industry
- Proven experience in working with peer groups and focus teams
- Ability to drive results and ensure completion of time sensitive deadlines
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Demonstrate leadership, coaching, and influencing skills
- Ability to promote safety in training and lead by example
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook)
- Proven safe work record
Desired Qualifications
- Experience with Learning Management Systems (LMS)
- Experience developing competency-based training programs
- Strong organizational and project management skills
- Ability to present technical information to individuals and groups
